Fire Classification

Fire extinguishers are rated according to their capacity to put down different types of fire. A coefficient (weight) indicates the actual capacity and a letter indicates the type of firefor which a specific model is intended. Fire types are as below:

Class A - Solid, dry material fire (paper, wood, textiles...)
Class B - Liquid fire (petrol)
Class C - Gas fire (butane, propane...)
